Stacking Ring Workshop - Visit the LanaBetty Studio in Gastown, Vancouver
It has been an idea brewing in the back of our minds for a while now and the time has finally arrived! In our quest to cultivate community, having a space that was inviting, warm, and large enough to accommodate a crowd was very important. One of the reasons we moved into such a bright open studio was to be able to invite clients into the space and share our knowledge. It's been nearly a year since we moved in and it's safe to say we're here to stay. The space is perfect for hosting parties and pop-ups, and of course, workshops!
Our studio is centrally located in Gastown, Vancouver. There is ample parking around the block as well as easy to bus and train. We are minutes from the seabus too! After your workshop, step out on the town with your friends and enjoy an evening out.
BOOK INTO OUR NEXT STACKING RING WORKSHOP
Come make a set of three dainty stacking rings with instructor Lana Lepper at the LanaBetty Studio.
You will learn to cut, file, bend, form, solder, and polish a trio of gold-filled and/or sterling silver wires into a finished set of stacking rings. This class will provide a basic overview of silversmithing techniques as you create beautiful pieces of handmade jewelry.
No experience necessary - students will have access to basic studio hand tools, and all materials are included with the class. As we do some fine detailed work, if you require glasses to see up close, please bring them along!
Your workshop (two to two and a half hours long) includes:
- learning some basic techniques like sizing, annealing, sanding, polishing, texturing, soldering.
- sterling silver or gold-fill to complete your project
- a microfiber pouch to keep your pieces safe and sparkly
- light snack and alcohol-free bubbly
