We are excited to offer two types of custom design: traditional goldsmithing as well as bespoke 3d design. We want to work with you to bring your idea to life; be it in the form of necklace, ring, earring, or other sentimental adornment.

3D PRINTING AND DESIGN
It is our distinct pleasure to create a custom, one of a kind necklace. We often create namesake necklaces and can work with a hand-lettering artist, use your own handwriting, or our graphic design skills too.
The process is fairly straightforward, simply purchase a deposit and we will reach out to understand your wishes, budget, materials, and timeline. Keep in mind, custom 3d printing typically takes five to eight weeks.
Our holiday cutoffs are as follows:
- Christmas Cutoff (delivery early december): October 10
- Mother's day Cutoff (delivery early May): February 15

TRADITIONAL GOLDSMITHING
We love custom designed gemstone and diamond jewelry. It is the heart of what we do at LanaBetty. In addition to our custom design service, we offer a curated collection of promise rings, engagement rings, and complimentary wedding bands. All engagement rings are custom designed and handcrafted in-house at our Broadway studio and workshop by the goldsmith, Lana Lepper.
Since opening our studio, we have refined our custom engagement ring process and have been working to grow our skills and expand our knowledge. In addition to designing your perfect ring, it is our goal to make the process enjoyable, rewarding, and as simple as possible. With LanaBetty, you can be confident that the jewelry we make will be heirloom quality because we are the ones who make your pieces.

OUR DESIGN PROCESS
At LanaBetty we want to work with you on your custom design. We pride ourselves on the minute details and delicate touches of our original designs. We will work with you to provide our expert advice, listen to your ideas, and create the perfect heirloom piece.
In regards to budget, there is no single answer for a custom design - we love to work in sterling silver as well as yellow, rose, and white gold. We in particular love 14k, but would be happy to work in 10k or 18k as well. See why, here. When we have an understanding of the project you're looking for, as well as your budget and timeline, we will be happy to provide a quote and highlight additional fees where they may be needed.
Designing custom jewelry is a collaborative process and we are more than happy to involve you at key approval stages. Here is the general outline of the process.
STEP 1: DESIGN CONSULT | FREE ~ 30 minutes
Let's talk about your idea! We will review the design, metals, stones, and understand the scope of the project. If you haven't already started a pin-board (via pinterest), we highly recommend saving inspiration and showing us elements of pieces you love so we can visually understand what you're looking for.
We evaluate your wishes and develop a preliminary estimate sheet based on your budget.
STEP 2: DEPOSIT & ADDITIONAL APPROVAL STAGES | 50%
This non-refundable deposit is deducted from your final invoice. The fee covers the cost materials and supplies we will need for your project, as well as the consultations required for your approval at key design stages:
A) Sketch Consultation (or Digital Mock for 3d printing)
Here we can discuss any inspirations and changes you may seek. We may also suggest adjustments to ensure the ring best suits your lifestyle and budget. Additionally, we will review important details such as ring size, how high a stone is set or how wide a ring will be.
Further appointments and design revisions may incur additional fees, starting at $50 per appointment and revision.
B) Stone Consultation (if not already agreed upon from original consult)
C) Sample Ring Mockup (if necessary)
We may, as required, prepare a brass version of your ring to view and inspect in person. This mockup may be 3D printed or hand-carved depending on the specific design. It will be a replica of your finished piece of jewelry and provides a chance to evaluate the overall size and design and discuss if changes are required. Once this model is approved, we will initiate the final iteration of your ring. Minor adjustments are at no cost.
Additional mockups and consultations are available at a fee of $100 - $250* and will be estimated based on the complexity.
STEP 3: CUSTOM MANUFACTURING
This is where the magic happens. Your piece is hand-wrought, 3d printed, or otherwise constructed. Stones are then set and any special finishes happen here too.
STEP 4: COMPLETION & FALL IN LOVE
We will contact you as soon as your jewelry is boxed and ready. We promise to always gift wrap, as the 'unboxing' is just as exciting as the design portion too.
*Copyright of all jewelry developed is retained by LanaBetty. All fees are subject to applicable taxes. All sketches, 3d models and samples provided during the process remain the property of LanaBetty, unless otherwise negotiated. If the client stops work part way through completion, they are responsible for all monies owed up until that point. LanaBetty reserves the right not to allow a piece of unfinished jewelry to leave the studio. LanaBetty reserves the right to photograph and display all in-progress and finished custom designed jewelry for self-promotion or entry to contests.
