There’s something extraordinary about the process of becoming. That quiet, often unseen evolution that shapes who we are. The Artifacts of Becoming collection is an ode to that journey. A celebration of change, transformation, and the strength found in growth. Each pendant is both a marker of a moment and a reminder that becoming is never complete: it’s continuous, fluid, and deeply personal.

This collection almost didn’t happen. After months of uncertainty; navigating casting challenges, shifting suppliers, and a volatile metal market, I wasn’t sure these pieces would make it to life. But fate had other plans. Partnering with a new casting company in Montréal reignited the process, and with it came something beautiful: LanaBetty jewelry is now 100% made in Canada. Every single piece, from sketch to casting to final polish, has been created here with care, intention, and heart.

Each pendant in Artifacts of Becoming holds a symbol and a mantra — a small talisman to anchor your story. From the serpent winding through leaves to the hourglass filled with the sun and moon, these designs capture both movement and stillness. They’re inspired by the delicate balance of inner and outer worlds — of knowing when to hold on, when to let go, and when to simply breathe.

The collection is cast, oxidized, and hand-polished in our Vancouver studio, allowing every detail, every groove, every curve, to tell its own story. No two pieces are exactly alike, and that’s intentional. They’re not meant to be perfect. They’re meant to become.
