Blog — Summer

Marvelous Mint

After a short break from the blog, I'm back and ready for anything - during my time off we hiked Grouse Mountain and went snowboarding on the Blackcomb Glacier (in the summer!!) - we truly live in one of the most amazing places on earth. While planning a wedding (that's all I'm thinking about these days) it is easy to get lost in the details (flower colors, who walks where and when, silly traditions, you name it) and it is important to take a step back to remember why we're doing this in the first place. love. Wednesday Treasury: Lovely Lavender

Welcome to another fantastic Wednesday! It has been a busy week, I made some major gains over the weekend with wedding decor. I finally cut the lime and white chevron linen canvas fabric into 20 five-foot-segments and 8 eight-foot-segments for all of the tables at the wedding. Each bridesmaid will feel comfortable and totally herself, all the while, looking cohesive with similar bouquets and accessories. They are going to be so...

Follow Friday: Cottage Living

Cottage Living – Owned and operated in the amazingly beautiful White Rock, BC by kind, sweet, and amazingly talented Linda Lock. One of the lucky few with a true blue store front, Linda runs classes, sells product, and promotes her own brand, Cottage Paint all from one perfectly sized shop! I first learned about Cottage Living while at Make It Vancouver in November 2012. Several customers suggested LanaBetty products would fit in very well and would be a great place to get my products out to new consumer markets. Linda and I connected online and when I finally walked into...

Pastel Yellow for Long Summer Days

Whew! Just when you want life to slow down, it seems to speed up faster and faster and faster! What is amazing, is that somehow, you learn to cope and deal with all the things that start flying at you. Like a fruit ninja, I have become well equipped to master any and all obstacles hurdling my way in the final 100 days before the wedding. [caption id="attachment_2550" align="aligncenter" width="562"] Adventures in White Rock - The most beautiful beach in the Lower Mainland.[/caption] That kind of feels like a big milestone: 100 days. The venue coordinator has reminded us to...
