I first heard about Sartoria a few years ago; I stumbled upon her etsy shop from an etsy email. It was cold out and I was allured by the concept of cashmere underwear. How luxurious! How indulgent! I had to see them for myself. It was at Circle Craft that I was finally able to introduce myself and meet the maker, Sartoria herself. I was inspired, awed; she was as warm and genuine as you could hope! Read more about that adventure here...
I have since made my best efforts to visit and catch up whenever she makes the trek west; I believe in her her products, brand, and business whole-heartedly. I won't lie - I love that my cashmere underwear collection is now large enough to be considered a collection. Not that it really gets that cold in Vancouver; but when you want to feel soft, feminine, and indulge; cashmere underwear sure does the trick!!
New for 2014 Sartoria introduces her first Summer Collection of finely made bathing costumes. This collection is an excellent compliment to the Winter Collection, featuring upcycled cashmere and merino wool. The new pieces of the Summer Collection are made with the same attention to detail and luxurious, old fashioned aesthetic. All suits are made in Toronto.[caption id="attachment_3209" align="aligncenter" width="536"] Introducing the new Summer Collection by Sartoria.[/caption]
Upcycling is resourcefully responsible, creatively challenging and time intensive. Each piece made is one of a kind.
Sartoria and Team work and live in downtown Toronto. Their two seamstresses (with very beautiful coverstitch machines) work close enough to the Sartoria studio that they are able to pick up and deliver pieces to them by bicycle.Facebook | Twitter | Instagram Vimeo | Indigogo | Website [caption id="attachment_3211" align="aligncenter" width="485"] Sartoria Upcycled Cashmere Undies[/caption] The Indigogo Campaign runs until June 27th (3 weeks only).
