Welcome to the Spring Fashion Report! To show my love and support for the new spring colors from Pantone, I am taking over the Wednesday Treasury to show how great these new spring colors are. There are 10 colors total, so stay tuned, each week I'll cover a new, fresh spring color and include a fun little treasury. Thus far, we've looked at Placid Blue and Celosia Orange. After a little break last week (Oops, with all the crazy moving, I missed a week!! Post to come on that adventure) Anyways, I digress. This week: Violet Tulip! Dress by Tadashi Shoji Must haves for Spring 2014: The Ivory scalloped lace dress with flared skirt. It is a feminine piece that you can dress up or dress down. Have you ever been to ModCloth? I could shop their dresses for days!! I searched my favorite go-to, Etsy, for the perfect (everyday) dress Tadashi was talking about. Obviously, I am not the kind of woman to rock a trumpet / mermaid style dress on the everyday. What about a fit-and-flare instead? An ivory blazer or cashmere cardigan? A statement necklace from J.Crew? What about a beautiful tote from Rogue and Whimsy? Would you wear boots or heels? Flats? Tell me all about how you would style this dress! Looking for a little Violet Tulip to spice your spring wardrobe up? How about a pair of LanaBetty earrings: [caption id="attachment_2984" align="aligncenter" width="570"] Violet Flower Earrings by LanaBetty[/caption] Spring Fashion Colors: Blog Schedule Check back each week to keep current on the spring fashion trends. 'Spring Fashion: Violet Tulip' by LanaBetty Radiant Orchid may be the color of the year, but Pantone released a full compliment of colors to pair with. Violet Tulip is great for Spring, blogged by LanaBetty http://wp.me/p1NNmW-KOTo distill the prevailing mood into a single hue, the PCI team, led by executive director Leatrice Eiseman, combs the world looking for future design and color influences, watching out for that one color seen as ascending and building in importance through all creative sectors. Influences can include the entertainment industry, upcoming films, art, emerging artists, travel destinations and socio-economic conditions. Influences may also stem from technology, lifestyles + playstyles, new textures and effects that impact color, and even upcoming sports events that capture worldwide attention.
