Follow Friday: Cottage Living

Posted by 1 on

Follow FridayCottage Living – Owned and operated in the amazingly beautiful White Rock, BC by kind, sweet, and amazingly talented Linda Lock. One of the lucky few with a true blue store front, Linda runs classes, sells product, and promotes her own brand, Cottage Paint all from one perfectly sized shop! I first learned about Cottage Living while at Make It Vancouver in November 2012. Several customers suggested LanaBetty products would fit in very well and would be a great place to get my products out to new consumer markets. Linda and I connected online and when I finally walked into her shop, I knew it would be a good place to promote my products. The store is filled with shabby chic and rustic farmhouse converted furniture and goods - very elegant, adorable and totally worthy of being in my home. How I wish I could have every item in her shop! LanaBetty will now be available in White Rock, BC and I am excited to send more products to Cottage Living as the summer begins and the tourists come to visit.

Discover Cottage Living with a short adventure out to White Rock, BC from 10am to 5pm Wednesday to Sunday at 15787 Marine Drive

What do you make/sell/service do you provide? Country Living is a storefront that provides classes, sells supplies and cottage decor. My largest draw is my product, Cottage Paint. Cottage Paint is fabulous, quick, and easy to use. There is no need for stripping, sanding, or primer!

You can achieve the "old world" look of French country finishes, the laid back charm of a beach cottage or an English country cottage, with the amazing new paint colours, waxes and stencils available at Country Living.

Come and get inspired! There are many finished furniture pieces for sale, products from local designers, and many, many ideas.

What inspires you? Recycle, Reuse, Re-purpose, Reinvent, Rebuild, Refurbish, Rediscover.... making something old, new again!

When and why did you start Cottage Living? I have been a decorative painter for nearly 30 years. When I was asked to represent this amazing new paint, it took me about a split second to agree! I immediately began experimenting with the product and found it was as fun and easy to use as promised. I began painting everything in sight!

Inspired to share my product and my passion with the community and the world, I began working towards having enough pieces to open a shop. At long last on November 1st 2012 Cottage Living was born.
