Whew! Just when you want life to slow down, it seems to speed up faster and faster and faster! What is amazing, is that somehow, you learn to cope and deal with all the things that start flying at you. Like a fruit ninja, I have become well equipped to master any and all obstacles hurdling my way in the final 100 days before the wedding. [caption id="attachment_2550" align="aligncenter" width="562"] Adventures in White Rock - The most beautiful beach in the Lower Mainland.[/caption] That kind of feels like a big milestone: 100 days. The venue coordinator has reminded us to get a liquor license and our RSVPs are coming in every day (so exciting!) and this weekend is my bridal shower! By the way, I've never been to one, so I have absolutely no idea what to expect. Have you been to a bridal shower? What was it like? What were your favorite parts? What did you roll your eyes at? How do I act (or not act)? Again - there's a lot going on. I also have my hair trial, which, I am super excited about. Imagine 1950's flare with a modern twist. I can't say more (because I don't know) but it's going to be fantastic! In addition to a plethora of wedding planning activities, LanaBetty has been busy preparing and scheming for Christmas. Applications for Make It Show have gone out and on deck is the application for Got Craft. Fingers crossed! I can also say with a swell of pride, that LanaBetty is now available in SEVEN different shops in the lower mainland. SEVEN. Last week it was zero, so that's a pretty big deal. [caption id="attachment_2549" align="alignright" width="239"] Resin Bangle by Shout and Sparkle[/caption] *Insert High Fives and Back Patting* I'll let you know which seven stores over the next week, this post isn't the right place for that kind of amazing announcement anyways. Stay tuned! As part of my ongoing bridesmaid treasury series, this week I am featuring butter yellow (or pastel yellow/pale yellow/light yellow/etc). All of my bridesmaids are my favoritest (yes, that's a word in my vocabulary), favoritest people but this one shines just a little brighter sometimes. We met in first year University and managed to take almost all of the same classes into fourth year. The friends you make in University are people you keep with you, forever. She saw me for who I was, who I wanted to be, and helped me transition into the woman I am today. For that, I am extremely, amazingly, heart-wrenchingly greatful. It is my honor, to have her stand up in front of all of my friends and family with me, to marry the man of my dreams. 'Pastel Yellow for Long Summer Days' by LanaBetty The days grow long and the city stays warm long after the sun sets behind the mountains. Pastel yellow is for keeping cool on those hot summer days that we all live to play and adventure in!
