Welcome to the Spring Fashion Report! To show my love and support for the new spring colors from Pantone, I am taking over the Wednesday Treasury to show how great these new spring colors are. There are 10 colors total, so stay tuned, each week I'll cover a new, fresh spring color and include a fun little treasury. Thus far, we've looked at Placid Blue, Celosia Orange, Violet Tulip, and Hemlock. This week, my favorite color to pair with neon; Paloma Grey! Dress designed by BCBGMAXAZRIA Must haves for Spring 2014: An easy chambray shirt dress in Chambray blue or White. Perfect for summer. While I'm not entirely sure if the shirt-dress is right for me, I was able to find about a hundred million for sale on Etsy. Wow, some of these ladies really own this style of dress! What do you think? Could you rock a chambray shirt-dress? What other amazing chambray items would you wear? *Note* Chambray is NOT denim. But looks like it a lot! It breaks down into the detailed construction of the fabric, but essentially two separate colors are used to blend the fabric weaves. Cool, eh? Right, back to chambray. I'd wear chambray leggings and chambray skirts, I'm just not a big fan of the color/fabric around my face. There is a great interview with Leatrice Eiseman in regards to how this year's color, Radiant Orchid, won the coveted prize. (Watch the Video)
'Spring Fashion 2014: Paloma' by LanaBetty Radiant Orchid may be the color of the year, but Pantone released a full compliment of colors to pair with. Paloma is great for Spring, blogged by LanaBetty http://wp.me/p1NNmW-KQTo distill the prevailing mood into a single hue, the PCI team, led by executive director Leatrice Eiseman, combs the world looking for future design and color influences, watching out for that one color seen as ascending and building in importance through all creative sectors. Influences can include the entertainment industry, upcoming films, art, emerging artists, travel destinations and socio-economic conditions. Influences may also stem from technology, lifestyles + playstyles, new textures and effects that impact color, and even upcoming sports events that capture worldwide attention.
