Indie I Do - A Short Review

Posted by 1 on

This past weekend was such a blast! The Indie I Do was a smashing success; on Saturday, January 28th, I spent the majority of my day shmoozing, smiling and networking with vendors and customers alike! I am also a bride-to-be and it was great to be able to view the event as an insider. I was able to watch the other vendors and the effort they put into their booths, presentations and attire to lure in potential customers. I watched them construct entire living rooms from, their own living rooms, putting their best feet forward to represent their businesses in the hot Vancouver wedding market. I thought it would be a little cut throat, but I was totally wrong. Everyone knows everyone and the venue was full of smiles. I was situated directly across from Dan & Kat of Stone Photo. FYI, they are fantastic. Not only do they have fabulous living room furniture (all of the furniture in their booth was direct from their home), but they have a great eye for photography and easy-to-get-along-with personalities. Is it weird I want us to be friends? They were just wonderful people! (Website | Twitter | Facebook) I was approached by Jeannine, blogger for Vancity Bride who stopped by my booth during one of the many rushes at the show. She loved my earrings and told me she was going to feature me in her blog. Exstatic, I said, sure! Send me the link! True to her word, Jeannine has posted her recap to the Sassiest Wedding Show in Vancouver and I'm in it! Click to read the article... (Website | Twitter | Facebook) At the end of the day, while packing up, Miranda from Blue Olive Photography stopped by to hand me the icing on the cake for the day; a swag bag! It turns out that because I had per-ordered a ticket before I was registered as a vendor, my name was assigned to a bag. I wouldn't necessarily kill for these swag bags, but I'd definitely wait in line for hours and hours. They're highly sought after! If each vendor spent as much time creating their swag as I know I did, the goodies are sure to be golden. I wasn't disappointed! Click on the photos to go to the creator's website! The entire listing of vendors is available in my last post and from the event website. I could spend days talking about all of them; I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with such refined and fun-lovin' businesses! To say thanks, I've created a belated #WednesdayTreasury in their honor. Thank you for a great Indie I Do, Andrea & Robert, Miranda & Reilly!
