Just add White

Posted by 1 on

Another week, another #WednesdayTreasury. This week I have featured what some would call, "shabby chic" which wikipedia explains is  a "form of interior design where furniture and furnishings are either chosen for their age and signs of wear and tear or new items are distressed to achieve the appearance of an antique". The site continues to describe shabby chic, saying, "At the same time, a soft, minimalistic, and feminine feel is emphasized to differentiate it from regular vintage decor; hence the "chic" in the name." I am particularly drawn to the distressed white look because I believe everything looks better with a fresh coat of paint, crackle finish or otherwise! White can really clean up a piece of furniture, can finish it off and hide flaws. If you want to enhance flaws, guaranteed, black will do that. White on the other hand, is much more calm. Enhancing. Peaceful. I love white. To see my previous treasuries, click here. To see treasuries I have been featured in, click here. Don't forget to sign up for my newsletter; I send one out, mostly monthly. And while you're on a clicking-frenzy, check out my events! I will be at two shows this holiday season, November 26th & 27th and December 10th & 11th!
